Part One: Adding Music to your Project Window

First of all  you need to get the audio you want into your project window. Go File-Import... this will allow you to import video into your project just go to where your music is highlight it and then open the music. Now it should be in your project window 

Part Two: Adding Music to your Timeline

Now you can just drag the audio to your timeline and on to one of your audio tracks do not use the same track as your video audio is on.

Part Three: Cutting your audio tracks

Now if you wish to not use your your video's audio just right click on the video in your timeline and press unlink audio and video then just delete the audio and now you will just hear the music in your video. But if you just wish to put the music in the background of the audio leave it how it is. Just cut the end off the music using the cutting tool.

Part Four: Changing the volume of Audio tracks

You can also turn the volume of the music and audio up and down this is done in the timeline. First expand the audio track you wish to change the volume of.  There will be four boxes We have already talked about what the top two boxes but not what the bottom ones. If you wish to change the audio first go into the bottom left box and chouse show track volume (this will allow you to change the volume for the whole track) Now select the pen tool:.Now with the pen tool you can move the audio up and down
