Step Five: Insert Tab
| Step Four |
Part One: Insert Tab
Part Two: Features
Part Three: Picture
Part Four: Text Box
Part Five Movies And Sound
Part Six: More Features
In this step I would like to go over the insert tab.
As you can see there is a new slide tab then a duplicate. After those
two there is a
slide number and Date and Time tab these are through the
footer and header.
Next
there's a Symbol tab that allows you to add
Symbols you can only click on it while in
a text box. Next there is a
comment button that allows to add a comment
(picture bellow) these are
not viewable inside the show there more of a note.
Next there
is a Slides from file button that allows you to add slides fromother show.the slides from outline button is for adding text to
your slide show
formtext files like
(i.e. File Type: .txt and .doc).
Inside the picture tab you can insert pictures form file but you can also insert clip art pictures. In clip art as well as being able to insert still pictures you can insert moving ones. I do not recommend word art or moving word art through. Then inside the picture tab there is a insert from camera or scanner. Then you can insert shapes and arrows. Next there's a word art button which if you don't know what it is it is a fancy tile generator. I do not recommend these in a PowerPoint it is usually much more professional to use text headings. Then there's a organization chart inserter.
Text boxes are just a place to put text. There is an option to add horizontal or vertical text boxes.
You can add movies and sound to your slide
show. When adding these you have to remember that is does not save
the movie or sound to the slide show so it has to be there when your
showing your slide show. I recommend you only us music at the start
and the end of your slide show unless in is just background music.
Part Six: More Features
Diagrams in PowerPoint allow you to add one of six kinds of
diagrams. Chart
work through an excel work sheet in PowerPoint.
Tables can be drawn to any
size or shape. Objects allow you to
add things like an Adobe Photoshop picture. They are just
"objects" form other programs.
